MEET THE AI COCKPIT

At Epicenter, we believe that we create more impact when we collaborate within and across industries, businesses, and sometimes even between competitors. With our clusters, we gather companies and individuals around a common challenge or question in order to learn, ideate, and innovate around it together.

We currently have clusters exploring a plethora of diverse topics such as retail, real estate, longevity, and food tech - but there has been a palpable gap in one area screaming for, well, maybe not more attention, but a more structured approach:  Artificial Intelligence, AI

Welcome to the second info session about and with the AI Cluster. Apply for your spot (free of charge) to learn more, and perhaps also to join the cluster.

Why an AI cluster?

Since the launch of ChatGPT in Nov 2022 and, in its aftermath, the slew of additional text, image, and video generators, we have gotten a significant number of requests for support in practical upskilling around AI: how to make use of them in business, their impact on competition, strategy, product, talent development needs, automation potential, risks (ethical and technical), etc. After a lot of discussion with you all, and internally, we realised that there might actually be a gap between what organisations want and need to take on the opportunities and tackle the challenges with the onslaught of the AI tools. The AI cluster is our response to that gap.

What is the difference between the AI cluster and all other AI initiatives (at Epicenter and elsewhere)?

This is probably the most recurring question we’ve asked ourselves in the process of developing a suggested (it’s actually up to its members) structure and approach for the cluster. And the answer is the same as what makes Epicenter different from any other grey block of concrete in the area - you. You, and the magic you bring. Epicenter doesn’t just provide a roof, wi-fi, and coffee, but structured shoulder-rubbing enabling you to make magic happen. Similarly, the AI cluster won’t just spread knowledge to its members that you could have gotten from elsewhere; but enable the making of new knowledge.

What will the AI cluster enable its members to do?

The AI cluster will not only help its members navigate and prioritise among the onslaught of information and news around AI, but to contextualise and develop a deeper understanding of what that information and those news mean - and could mean - for them and their organisations.Part of this will be through input from and discussions with experts and thought-leaders in different sub-fields of AI, and part will be through connecting with other executives facing similar challenges and opportunities but who approach them from different perspectives.

A core part of being part of the cluster is to share experiences and learn from one another. Cluster members will be able to leverage this newly attained and developed knowledge to drive innovation, improve business processes, and create new opportunities for growth - both internally and through collaboration with other members of the cluster to create new (AI-based) solutions and offerings that could transform each of their organisations - and might be part of defining the future of their industries. In short, our not-so-humble aim is to be an invaluable resource for anyone looking to stay ahead of the curve in the rapidly evolving world of AI. With access to expert insights and a network of like-minded professionals, members of this community would be well-positioned to drive innovation and create value for their organisations.

Please note that the cluster is a structured programme for up skilling around AI. It can only deliver proper value to its members and partners if participation is taken seriously. Hence, cluster participation is not free.
